Primer

Coin Primer

Two currencies per lobby. Only one of them has a redemption route. This is the distinction the banners blur.

Gold Coins

Play money, issued without limit because issuing it costs nothing. No redemption route, no cash value, genuinely useful for learning a lobby for free. A million-coin headline says nothing about the value of an offer.

Sweeps Coins

The promotional currency with a redemption path. Wager each coin once and the balance can, at the site floor, be exchanged for a cash prize or a gift card. Every field in our testing that matters is a Sweeps Coin field.

Why no purchase is required

US sweepstakes rules require a free entry route. In practice that means a daily bonus, an on-site giveaway, a social drop or a postal request. Buying a coin package buys play money; the Sweeps Coins attached are a promotional extra.

Playthrough and the floor

Playthrough means one wager per coin before it counts as redeemable. The floor is the minimum redeemable balance the site will process, 50 to 100 SC across our testing. A two coin credit in front of a 75 coin floor is a return visit, not a payout.

  • Gold Coins: unlimited, free, no cash value
  • Sweeps Coins: one playthrough, redeemable at the floor
  • Floors logged: 50 SC to 100 SC
  • Free clearance logged: same day to 15 days
Field arithmetic. Divide the redeemable credit by the floor and ignore every figure with GC after it. That ratio predicts your first fortnight more reliably than any other number in the offer.

Compare The Ratios

Redeemable against floor for every site we tested.
