Sweepstakes casinos are not licensed online gambling, and they are still not open everywhere. Here is how the map behaves.
Consistent Exclusions
Washington State treats the model as unlawful and no serious operator accepts players there. Idaho is excluded almost everywhere as policy. Michigan is mixed after regulator attention, with some operators withdrawn and others still accepting players. Nevada is patchy because operators avoid friction with the licensed casino industry.
Everywhere Else
The model runs. Minimum age is 18 in most states, 21 in some, and a handful of operators apply 21 nationwide. Redemption is the sharper limit: the payment processor, not the operator, often decides whether your state can receive a payout.
